Happy Thanksgiving Señor Rio family! We hope you all have an easy and relatively painless travel day, and if not, good luck with those last second plans! You know that we here at Señor Rio are kind of old school when it comes to the holidays. Absolutely we’re here for the fun, but we also like to remember the spirit of the holiday, and the important things that matter in our lives and yours. As we get together this holiday season and reconnect with old family and friends, we want to say we’re grateful for our friends and family, and that includes you! Sure we have fun making one of the worlds finest tequilas, but we wouldn’t be where we are today with you all, our loyal fan base that supports us with your good taste and kind words! So as we all gather together with our loved ones for some great food, fun, and a little tequila, here’s our thanks to you all for helping us along the way!
However you celebrate, celebrate in style!
One thing we like to remind our new friends as well as old, no matter what your opinion is when it comes to spirits, you’re not wrong! At the end of the day, the distilling and crafting of spirits boils down to (pardon the pun) chemistry! Everyone is going to have expressions of tequila they like more than others. Now, yours truly is going to be sipping that very fine 2 year anejo by the fire, and then following dinner who could say no to some of that delicious cafe elegancia! That being said, if you still prefer a blanco in a margarita or neat come this 4th Thursday of November, who are we to say no! Ultimately, it’s all about sipping what you like, how you like! That being said, you can always count on our founder Debbie to be enjoying her reposado neat with a slice of orange with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top!
Give thanks to what’s important
So we get it, somebody is going to say something that’s borderline inappropriate this Thanksgiving weekend. “Seriously, you voted for that guy??” and “oh dear when are you going to learn to settle down and find the one?” Let’s face it, it’s going to happen. Our humble advice to any and all is to actually savor these moments! Enjoy the quirks that make your family unique and funny. So while you may be tempted to hurl some of those mashed potatoes across the table, instead lift a glass to that sometimes annoying loved one and say “hey, here’s to you, Salud!” Remember, it wasn’t that long ago we were locked down, and nobody was sure when we were going to see each other! So let’s savor the fact we get to have these moments again!

We know you’ve heard this before, but we can’t help but say our signature phrase again “sharing tequila is sharing life!” While there may not have been a deliciously distilled spirit present at the first thanksgiving with the Pilgrims and Native Americans, we do like to think our special slogan reflects the meaning behind the holidays. Giving thanks to the life we’ve got, the people we’ve got, and the moments we get to share together. So to all of our friends and fans, old and new, here’s to you, and here’s to a great Thanksgiving weekend with you and your special ones, Salud!
